Stainless Steel Flatware
Nambé's stainless steel flatware is dishwasher safe. Rinse each piece prior to loading it into the dishwasher and avoid overcrowding. These items may also be washed by hand using a mild detergent and soft sponge. Dry each piece promptly.
Care
Wash your flatware as soon as possible after each use
Do not leave flatware in standing water for extended periods of time
Avoid acidic detergents, such as lemon or other citrus dishwashing soaps, as long-term use of these products can dull your flatware's finish
Keep your flatware away from open flame or sources of extreme heat
Remove discoloration using a paste of baking soda and water
Nambé Polish or a stainless steel polish may also be used to polish Nambé flatware
Use care when using flatware and serving utensils together with Nambé Alloy serving pieces; they can scratch the surfaces
Do not store your flatware in plastic bags or other wrappings that trap moisture; for safe storage, remove from original packaging and wrap pieces individually in a soft cloth

Nambé is pleased to offer an extensive collection of Karim Rashid's creations in metal, crystal and lighting. Rashid's fresh, beautiful and highly collectible Nambé illustrate our dedication to great design. He has been designing for Nambé since 1992.
Less than ten years after opening his studio in New York, Karim Rashid stands among the contemporary masters of design. Rashid works in architecture, interiors, fashion and furniture. He is also a sculptor, painter and ceramist with a number of prestigious one-man shows and exhibits to his credit.
Rashid was born in Cairo, Egypt and grew up in England and Canada. He earned a degree in industrial design from Carleton University in Ottawa, and next studied design in Italy. His work has won more than 50 design awards and has been exhibited by or acquired for the permanent collections of MoMA, the British Design Museum, Toronto Design Exchange, MoMA of San Francisco and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
In 2001, Rizzoli published I Want to Change the World, a monograph on Rashid's life's work.

Our crystal items are personalized through a process called laser etching, which produces a result very similar to sandblasting. We create a high resolution image of your message and turn it over to our personalization experts, who use a computerized laser to create your message onto the surface of your Nambé purchase. For our Nambé Alloy products, the laser etch process is followed by sandblasting for impressively sharp edges.
